What is it?
WHC Teams Direct Connect lets you make and take external Teams phone calls from within Microsoft Teams. It’s powered by Wholesale Hosted Communications (WHC), our cloud-based phone service, which carries calls over the internet instead of traditional phone lines.
Once your WHC phone number is connected to your Teams account, you’ll find a new dialling pad in the app. This is all fully integrated with Teams and Microsoft 365, so the process is smooth, and you don’t have to worry about compatibility issues either.

Are Microsoft licences included?
No, although WHC Teams Direct Connect works through Microsoft Teams, it doesn’t include any Microsoft licences. These will need to be ordered separately and activated before you can start making calls in Teams.
